Protect Your Retail Storefront

Deter smash-and-grab robberies and protect your assets with heavy-duty security film.

Your First Line of Defense Against Retail Crime

For a retail business, a large glass storefront is essential for showcasing merchandise and attracting customers. It's also your single greatest vulnerability to "smash-and-grab" burglaries. These crimes are fast, destructive, and can result in devastating inventory loss and property damage. Storefront security film is the most effective way to protect your business from this pervasive threat.

Stop Smash-and-Grab Robberies Cold

The entire premise of a smash-and-grab is speed. Burglars use a heavy object to shatter the glass, grab as much high-value merchandise as they can, and flee in under a minute. Security film completely disrupts this model.

  • Denies Entry: When struck, the filmed glass will break, but it will not shatter. The film holds the glass in a single sheet, creating a barrier that is incredibly difficult to breach quickly.
  • Creates Noise and Delay: The repeated impacts required to try and get through the film create a huge amount of noise and, most importantly, take time—the two things a burglar cannot afford.
  • Protects Your Assets: In most cases, the intruder will give up and flee, leaving your valuable inventory safe inside your store.

An Essential Investment for Any Retailer

Storefront security film is a crucial investment for any brick-and-mortar retailer, especially those selling high-value goods such as:

  • Jewelry stores
  • Electronics retailers
  • Designer boutiques
  • Dispensaries
  • Pawn shops

Beyond burglary prevention, security film also protects your storefront from vandalism, civil unrest, and accidental impacts. It also blocks 99% of UV rays, which helps to prevent your displayed merchandise from fading.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will security film stop a bullet?

No. Security film is not bullet-resistant. While it may slow a bullet's velocity and reduce spall (flying glass), it is not designed or rated to stop projectiles from a firearm. Bullet-resistant glass is a specialized, much more expensive product.

What thickness of film is recommended for a storefront?

For most retail storefronts, we recommend a security film of at least 8 mil thickness, often combined with an attachment system for maximum strength. This provides a robust defense against the most common smash-and-grab tactics.

Can we still have our logo or sale signs on the window?

Yes. Security film is installed on the interior of the glass. You can still apply temporary vinyl lettering or decals to the exterior of the window over the film without any issue.
